Coalbed Methane Reservoir Parameter Prediction and Sweet-Spot Comprehensive Evaluation Based on 3D Seismic Exploration: A Case Study in Western Guizhou Province, China

As a kind of clean energy, the exploration and development coalbed methane (CBM) are great importance significance. In this paper, CBM reservoir parameters working area in Western Guizhou Province, China, were predicted by using 3D seismic technology, sweet-spot was evaluated based on prediction results. terms data interpretation, while traditional technology is extended to study CBM, new technologies methods suitable for also actively explored, especially quantitative such as coal seam thickness, content, body structure, situ stress, etc., three-highs sweet spots characterized high precision, resolution, coincidence which logging evaluation petrophysics. addition, comprehensive multiparameter spots, weighted step-by-step method inversion innovatively proposed, made more focused, effective, practical, distribution law consistent with geological law, providing enough basis subsequent well location deployment.
